Programme of Events for 25th-26th April 2026

The Friends of Woolhope Church have organised several community events to celebrate St George’s Day, and we are pleased to announce this year’s exciting programme:

Saturday 25th April

Walk & Talk

Join Mark O’Brien for a Walk and Talk in Siege Wood, Woolhope, HR1 4QL Meet by The Skallenge, St George’s Church, at 10:00am if you are walking, or park at Siege Wood by 10:45am if driving. Mark will talk us through the conservation work being done in the woods, including wildlife and vegetation. There may also be an opportunity to meet his Old English Horned cattle afterwards.

Saturday 25th April

Quiz with a Difference

In the Parish Hall from 7:30pm – 10:30pm. Teams will be given objects to identify (e.g. vegetables, kitchen utensils, garage tools, plants etc) or asked to name places or people from pictures projected onto a screen (e.g. castles, monarchs, flags, dog breeds, etc). Tickets: £10.00 per person – includes a light supper + tea/coffee/soft drink (bring your own alcohol if you wish). Teams of 4 or come as an individual and make up a team on the night.

Sunday, 26th April

Plant Sale & Coffee Morning

Takes place on Sunday morning from 10am-12 noon in the Parish Hall with lots of bargains to enrich your garden this year. Tea, coffee, cake and biscuits will be available while you relax and discuss your purchases with friends and neighbours! Free entry & parking!

Sunday, 26th April

Patronal Service at St George’s Church

Starts at 6.30pm. We are delighted to welcome
John Eden and the Hereford Church Singers
to accompany us to mark the end of St George’s weekend for 2026.
