The current project, funded by the Friends of Woolhope Church, is the restoration of this historic monument on the north wall, believed to be a coffin lid from the 13th or 14th century. Here is a picture before any restoration work started:

With the scaffolding erected, restoration work has now begun. The first task was to remove the mortar from a previous repair attempt many years ago which was not up to modern standards:

Although not yet finished, you can see where some of the old mortar has been removed and the partial repair to the lower part of the monument:
