On Saturday 27th May at 6:30pm, a quarter peal was successfully completed to celebrate the Ruby Wedding Anniversary of Steve Maddox, a loyal ringer to Woolhope. Also with 90th birthday compliments to Rev’d Peter Newing, who kindly donated towards to cost of refurbishing the bells back in 2015.
Two methods (or patterns) were rung in the quarter peal, namely Grandsire Doubles and Plain Bob Doubles and took 44 minutes to complete. The weather was very nice so we hope everyone in the village enjoyed listening to the bells.
Congratulations again to Steve and Tricia Maddox and thank you to everyone for ringing so well.
